Continuously Improve with Lean Six Sigma
The combined power of lean (used to remove waste and increase flow) and six sigma (used to reduce variation in a process) will improve overall quality of a product and optimize time and budget. Learning Tree has partnered with the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth college to bring you the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Black Belt, and Master Black Belt.
What is Lean Six Sigma?
Lean Six Sigma is a powerful methodology for improving your existing processes. The combined power of Lean (used to remove waste and increase flow), and Six Sigma (used to reduce variation in a process) has saved companies thousands of dollars on each completed project, and improved overall quality of a product or service.
The results of extensive research indicate that team-based decision-making is a more productive process than individual decision-making. By using Statistical Tools (Histograms, Run Charts, Pareto Diagrams, etc.) and Management Tools (Brainstorming, Tree Diagrams, Value Stream Maps, etc.), the team will expedite problem analysis, solution development and improvement planning, including the implementation process.
What is the Lean Six Sigma Framework and DMAIC Methodology?
The DMAIC methodology involves five steps: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control. This method is used to improve the current capabilities of an existing process. This is by far the most commonly used methodology of improvement teams. The DMAIC method is very robust. Many organizations have used it successfully to produce dramatic improvements. It provides a framework for guiding a Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiative
- It provides a common language for completing stages and tollgates
- It prevents skipping critical steps in the CQI process
- It enables you to improve the way in which you perform CQI
Why Choose Learning Tree's Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth for Lean Six Sigma Certification?
Many organizations provide Lean Six Sigma training. What is different about this Lean Six Sigma program?
- Get certified — not just a certificate.
Certification comes with knowledge testing. A certificate indicated program completion, but does not certify knowledge or skills gained. The Dartmouth Thayer School of Engineering program provides bona fide certification — not just a certificate.
- Choose from convenient training options.
Lean Six Sigma training is offered as a virtual, instructor-led course. The training modules are recorded so you can review and learn at your own pace. Alternatively, you can bring Lean Six Sigma training to your preferred location with our private team training option.
- Get high-quality training and valuable certification from Lean Six Sigma experts.
When you earn Lean Six Sigma certification through Learning Tree, your certification comes directly from The Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College, a member of the Ivy League (a distinction of only eight private institutions in the USA).
