Cybersecurity Training for the State of Texas
Learning Tree partners with the Texas Cyber Command to deliver the InfoSec Academy, a statewide cybersecurity training initiative focused on building and certifying the public sector workforce.
The program provides industry-standard cybersecurity certification training, developer-focused courses, and exam vouchers to eligible organizations across Texas.
All courses and certifications are funded through Cyber Command, allowing participants to enroll at no cost.

The Texas InfoSec Academy launched in May 2018 to provide cybersecurity training and certification opportunities to IT professionals working in state government and higher education.
The program includes:
- Cybersecurity certification training
- Secure development and application security courses
- Certification exam vouchers
- A required On-Demand Texas Policy and Assurance course
Learning Tree delivers the training and supports day-to-day program operations.
The InfoSec Academy is available to:
- Texas State Agencies
- Public Institutions of Higher Education
- Community Colleges
Participants must:
- Be in a cybersecurity or related IT role
- Receive approval from their organization’s Information Security Officer (ISO/CISO)

Step 2: Browse the course catalog and schedules
Step 3: Submit a request to enroll
Step 4: ISO/CISO approval
Step 5: Enrollment confirmed and access provided. Learning Tree also supports enrollment coordination and troubleshooting.

Exam vouchers timing
Individuals must request their exam within 30 days of completing their training. Must be used within validity window. No replacements if unused.
