You can expect coverage of all exam learning objectives, with a focus on understanding key concepts, terminology, and how they’re assessed. For a deeper, more hands-on learning experience in PMO Management, see Course 3610.
  • Content Volume: Certification courses cover a large amount of material in a short time. Instructors prioritize content tied to exam objectives and supplementary topics may be addressed as time allows.
  • Content Pace: Certification courses are fast-paced so that all exam objectives are covered. Instructors adhere to a stricter schedule so that everything is covered. While discussions and examples are included, the focus remains on certification readiness.
  • Outside of Class Study Time: Plan for self-study outside of class, especially if the content is new to you. Passing the exam is not guaranteed.

  • Who Should Attend: Tailored for current and aspiring PMO professionals, this certification enhances your skills, maximizes your impact, and ensures value delivery within your organization. The certification is particularly suited for PMO Leaders, PMO Team Members, Project Managers, and Project Coordinators.
  • Official Prerequisites: To apply for the PMI-PMOCP certification, you must hold a secondary degree, such as a high school diploma, GED (general educational development), or global equivalent; have 3 years of project related experience within the last 8 years OR a PMP in good standing; and take 10 hours of PMO education. You can meet this educational requirement with this course.
  • Pre-Course Knowledge: Attendees should have prior familiarity with project management and PMOs at the level of Course 3610, and have at least 3 years of project related experience.

  • Certification Alignment: PMI® Project Management Office Certified Professional (PMI-PMOCP)™
  • Certification Expectations: Attendees should expect that some study outside of course hours will be required for certification success. The amount of self-study will depend on prior familiarity with the topic. Passing the exam is not guaranteed.
  • Exam Details: The PMI-PMOCP exam takes 165 minutes and has 120 questions.

Required Pre-Course Preparation

  • Review the pre-course communication from Learning Tree to understand how to access all of your course materials.
  • Ensure you have access to your PMI and My Learning Tree portals before the start of class. Reach out to Learning Tree customer service if you are having trouble.
  • Be prepared for up to two hours of study after class each evening, depending on your prior level of familiarity with the course material.
