Module 1: Building A Foundation

In this module, you will learn how to:

Harness the power of simple, concise, and direct language
Adopt clarity, consistency, timeliness, and additional communication principles in your day-to-day workplace interactions
Identify the key steps of the communication process, from developing and explaining an idea to providing or receiving feedback

Module 2: Setting Clear Communication Goals

In this module, you will learn how to:

Ask for feedback with clarity
Get actionable solutions to your questions and communication challenges
Figure out what to say and the best way to say it
Create a strong connection when face-to-face communication is missing

Module 3: Avoiding Communication Breakdowns

In this module, you will learn how to:

Distinguish valuable communication from small talk
Recognize and leverage your role in the communication structure and hierarchy of your organization
Identify internal and external factors that impact the effectiveness of your communication
Establish and manage channels for feedback
Communicate nondefensively while explaining your points or ideas

Module 4: Translating Across Communication Styles

In this module, you will learn how to:

Identify the four communication styles (passive, aggressive, passive-aggressive, assertive) and their respective strengths and blind spots
Close communication gaps between the different styles
Add flexibility to your communication without compromising your identity

Demonstrate respect, empathy, and sensitivity

Identify different communication volumes
Interpret gestures, facial expressions, intonations, posture, use of space, and dress
