EC-Council Circle of Excellence in Cyber Security Awarded to Learning Tree

HERNDON, Va. – Sept. 20, 2016
For the second year in a row, Learning Tree International (OTCQX: LTRE) has been selected for the EC-Council Circle of Excellence Award in the Enterprise category for its Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) training course.

EC-Council, the world’s largest cyber security technical certification body, presents the Circle of Excellence Award to select training organizations who exhibit a significant commitment to providing exceptional information security training and certification programs.

“Learning Tree is honored to be recognized with the EC-Council Circle of Excellence Award,” said Chief Executive Officer Richard A. Spires. “Even with good protections in place, most breaches are caused by user error, which is why we must constantly work to educate the workforce.”

Learning Tree’s CEH Exam Preparation Training Course

According to the EC-Council, a Certified Ethical Hacker is described as: a skilled professional who understands and knows how to look for weaknesses and vulnerabilities in target systems, and uses the same knowledge and tools as a malicious hacker, but in a lawful and legitimate manner to assess the security posture of a target system(s).

Learning Tree is proud to offer this official EC-Council course, providing security professionals with the in-depth knowledge to deploy the tools and techniques needed to protect their organization’s network.

A Commitment to Exemplary Cyber Security Training

This award builds on the prestige of Learning Tree’s award-winning Cyber Security curriculum, which has been designed to align with the National Cybersecurity Workforce Framework (NCWF) – also called the NICE Framework.

Developed by the U.S. Government’s National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE), the NICE Framework categorizes and describes cyber security job roles, so that managers have a systematic way to plan and implement improvements in their organization’s cyber security measures, and determine requirements and methods for training a modern cyber security workforce.
