1974
Integrated Computer Systems was born out of a spare bedroom and the garage of Dr. Collins’ small home in Los Angeles. Within 6 months, activities were spreading into other rooms of the house, so Integrated Computer Systems moved to Culver City.
The first course was taught in Los Angeles in September of 1974. The next month: Washington, a month after that: London and Paris, and a few months after that: Tokyo.
1977-1978
Half a dozen different microprocessor courses were being offered, but we realized that we would need to cover a wider range of technology if we wanted to grow. We recruited course authors and instructors in fields as wide as digital signal processing, digital image processing, and a new microprocessor language called Pascal.
