Learning Tree Introduces New Online Course: SharePoint 2010 New Features Overview

RESTON, VA (March 31, 2011)
Learning Tree International (NASDAQ NGM: LTRE) has announced the introduction of a course entitled SharePoint 2010 New Features Overview. This live, instructor-led one-day course is available only online via Learning Tree AnyWare. SharePoint 2010 builds on the capabilities of previous versions and offers upgrades in the areas of information management, administration, enterprise services and social computing. Through an in-depth case-study approach, attendees are shown how the new features in SharePoint 2010 can deliver a wide range of business benefits for their organization.

Learning Tree AnyWare enables participants to fully interact with their instructors and classmates through a media-rich interface that integrates live classroom video, audio and chat features, as well as the ability to view instructor demos. In addition, participants collaborate with their peers and perform hands-on course exercises.

During SharePoint 2010 New Features Overview, participants will engage in live demonstrations that include:

  • Rapidly deploying SharePoint 2010 sites
  • Working with Apple Mac, iPhone and iPad devices in SharePoint 2010
  • Personalizing SharePoint 2010 with My Site
  • Quickly retrieving information with SharePoint Search
  • Integrating Office 2010 applications with SharePoint 2010
  • Automating business processes with custom workflows in SharePoint Designer 2010
  • Displaying server status with the SharePoint Maintenance Manager
  • Measuring business metrics with PerformancePoint Services

"This course is ideal for anyone evaluating or migrating to SharePoint 2010 who wants to gain a high-level overview of the new features," said Jennifer Urick, Vice President of Product Development for Learning Tree International. "And because this will be taught live and online, attendees can participate from work, home, or anywhere that has a reliable high-speed Internet connection."
