Learning Tree Introduces New Hands-On Course – Securing the Cloud: Best Practices for Secure Cloud Computing

RESTON, VA (April 7, 2011)
Learning Tree International (NASDAQ NGM: LTRE) has announced the introduction of a new course entitled Securing the Cloud: Best Practices for Secure Cloud Computing. As organizations implement cloud computing technology, security issues are a vital concern. Addressing the unique security challenges at the start of an implementation plan is a key to protecting cloud investments. This three-day course provides attendees with in-depth, hands-on experience identifying and resolving the security issues specific to public and private clouds.

Throughout Securing the Cloud, hands-on exercises provide attendees with the experience to implement security measures in the cloud with exercises that include:

  • Analyzing cloud-based security concerns
  • Modifying security processes when moving to the cloud
  • Identifying cloud security roles and responsibilities
  • Dealing with loss of access in the cloud
  • Protecting access to company data
  • Planning for disaster recovery of cloud systems

"This course will provide organizations with a plan for applying security best practices to cloud computing decisions and migration," explained Jennifer Urick, Vice President of Product Development for Learning Tree International.
