Learning Tree Introduces a New Course — Putting ITIL® into Practice: A Roadmap for Transformation

RESTON, VA (September 22, 2011)
Learning Tree International (NASDAQ NGM: LTRE) has announced the introduction of a new course entitled Putting ITIL® into Practice: A Roadmap for Transformation. In this three-day course, our expert instructors show participants how to identify a structured and logical method for building an effective organization that supports and complements ITIL best practices.

Putting ITIL® into Practice is a workshop course, which provides attendees with practical experience adopting ITIL best practice techniques through the use of a comprehensive case study and exercises. Activities include:

  • Performing a SWOT analysis
  • Creating a collaborative mission statement
  • Recognizing and applying Kotter's 8 Steps
  • Developing a RACI model and writing job descriptions
  • Undertaking a gap analysis and identifying quick wins

“This course provides a holistic view of how ITIL can be implemented in organizations, unlike traditional ITIL courses that focus on preparing for a certification exam,” explained Jennifer Urick, Vice President of Product Development for Learning Tree International. “Attendees will be shown how to apply a strategic approach to formulate an ITIL roadmap for successful organizational transformation—delivering an effective service to their key stakeholders.”

Attendees have three ways to attend this course:

1. Learning Tree will begin presenting Putting ITIL® into Practice: A Roadmap for Transformation at its Education Centers in September 2011.

The current schedule includes the following:

  • Washington, DC (Rockville, MD) — September 28-30, 2011
  • Los Angeles, CA — November 30-December 2, 2011
  • New York, NY — December 14-16, 2011
  • Washington, DC (Rockville, MD) — December 21-23, 2011

This schedule is subject to change.
