RESTON, Va. and STOCKHOLM, Sweden November 9, 2010
Learning Tree International, Inc. (NASDAQ: LTRE) today announced the international expansion of its proprietary Learning Tree AnyWare™ (patent pending) into Sweden. Learning Tree AnyWare is the only live, online training delivery solution that connects online participants to an actual classroom.
“With an increasing number of Swedish organizations attending our London courses via AnyWare, we believe that there is strong interest and acceptance of AnyWare in the Swedish market,” said Nicholas R. Schacht, president and CEO, Learning Tree International. “This expansion of Learning Tree AnyWare is another way for our company to help businesses in the local market effectively and consistently provide their employees with quality training to develop skills, enhance their knowledge and improve performance, while supporting organizational growth.”
Learning Tree International now offers over 150 courses via Learning Tree AnyWare for online participants to connect to actual classroom training events in its education centers around the world, including Stockholm.
Learning Tree’s first Swedish courses available via AnyWare will begin November 16, 2010. With Learning Tree AnyWare, participants fully interact with their instructors and classmates through a media-rich interface that integrates live classroom video, audio and chat features. In addition, participants collaborate with their peers and perform hands-on course exercises on classroom equipment just as if they were physically in the classroom.
“AnyWare is an excellent training delivery alternative for management and technology training,” said Henrik Aronsson, systems developer for Konsumentverket. “The chat capability is a smooth way to communicate with the instructor and the rest of the class. I truly felt as though I was a part of the classroom through the hands-on exercises, which were extremely effective.”
In just its first year of availability, Learning Tree AnyWare has had more than 5,000 enrollments from 25 countries. With the addition of Sweden, Learning Tree International now has nine AnyWare-enabled education centers worldwide including: Stockholm, Sweden; London, England; Ottawa and Toronto, Canada; and Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Reston and Rockville in the United States. AnyWare is also available for courses held on site at client locations. AnyWare provides customers with maximum flexibility, allowing them to obtain the training they need, when they need it, from wherever they are located.
“I chose to participate in AnyWare courses because I didn’t want to travel and be away from my family,” said Malin Hedström, developer for Tieto Banking and Insurance. “The instructor made every effort to ensure I was a part of the class, and the information I received was very informative. I recommend business and technology professionals to take advantage of this form of online education without traveling across countries.”
