New Hands-On Course from Learning Tree Addresses SQL Server High Availability

Learning Tree International (NASDAQ NGM: LTRE) announced the introduction of a new course to join its IT curriculum entitled SQL Server High Availability: Hands-On. Over three days, attendees will be led by an expert instructor in a series of intensive hands-on exercises designed to provide practical experience in implementing high-availability solutions.

Learning Tree will begin presenting SQL Server High Availability: Hands-On in the U.S. in July 2009, and in London, England in August 2009.

  • Leverage SQL Server 2008 technologies to achieve high-availability databases
  • Design a Service Level Agreement that matches business requirements

  • Maintain a warm standby server with log shipping
  • Mirror a database to ensure disaster recovery
  • Implement peer-to-peer replication for network load balancing
