About This Course: This PS Professional Catalyst Foundation course has been designed to familiarize delegates with the basic principles for a strong catalyst. The skills gained enable attendees to become proactive rather than reactive, by creating strong professional relationships with stakeholders and engendering a spirit of customer service excellence, and proactive communication with stakeholders, internally and externally. The examination available in this course will enable them to achieve Professional Services Catalyst Foundation Certification.

  • Determine the five elements of collaboration to help customers describe their needs
  • Assess the importance of stakeholder engagement, the definition of outcomes and the concept of the value ladder
  • Recognize how an Agile approach is congruent with people engagement and follow the who and how steps of the engagement pathway

  • Encouraging your customer to talk by listening persuasively
  • Limiting use of jargon and speak to your listener’s concerns

  • Using the ‘That’s not it’ strategy to help a customer describe their needs
  • Challenging your assumptions about customer needs and be an information-gathering skeptic
