Microsoft Integration Services is a platform for building enterprise-level data integration and data-transformation solutions. SSIS is one of the components of Microsoft's Business Intelligence platform. The other two consist of Reporting Services and Analysis Services. SSIS allows you to migrate data for decision-support purposes. Once migrated, you can analyze data with Analysis Services, and reports can be built using Reporting Services.
