Taking 2-Day Course 1813, Certified ScrumMaster®, will satisfy both your Intro Course and Elective Course requirements! Certified ScrumMaster® requires in-person attendance, as well as passing Scrum Alliance's CSM exam.
NOTE: To achieve certification, you must be fully present for all class days, and pass the Learning Tree exam. Both in-class and virtual participation is permitted. In-class attendance is required for Course 1813 only.
Certified Scrum Professionals (CSPs) have demonstrated experience, documented training, and proven knowledge in the art of Scrum. CSPs challenge their Scrum teams to improve the way Scrum and other Agile methods are implemented for every project.
To apply for your CSP certification, you must satisfy three eligibility criteria:
You can choose to participate in several different Learning Tree events and/or services to earn the 70 Scrum Education Units (SEUs) that you need to become a Certified Scrum Professional (CSP).
You can earn up to 45 SEUs at a rate of one credit per hour of participation in Scrum Alliance Global Gatherings, Scrum Alliance Regional Gatherings, Scrum Coaching Retreats, and Scrum Alliance-endorsed User Group events and activities.
Presenting, coaching and attending sessions all count as SEU-eligible activities. A maximum of 8 SEUs may be earned per day.
Learning Tree hosts a quarterly Scrum user group, which is conducted by one of our expert Scrum instructors, to discuss and share current Scrum trends, news and practices. We will also have workshops that focus on incorporating/adopting Lean, Agile and Scrum, as well as group discussions that allow participants to share and learn from each other's experiences.

Up to 15 SEUs may be earned by participating in other relevant events not sponsored by Scrum Alliance, such as Agile conferences, regional interest group meetings, training from someone who is not a Registered Education Provider (REP) or Certified Scrum Trainer (CST).
SEUs are earned at a rate of one credit per hour of active participation.
You can earn up to 15 SEUs at the rate of one credit per hour invested in various independent learning activities, such as:
Reading one or two books deeply and then fully describing their benefit to you as a Scrum practitioner
Once you've completed a course, your instructor will be available to help you apply your newly gained knowledge, overcome any start-up hurdles, and offer guidance on specific applications.
