HERNDON, Va. – May 3, 2018 – Learning Tree International (OTCQX: LTRE) today launched a new (ISC)² certification training course designed for information security professionals in the global healthcare sector. The HealthCare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner (HCISPP®) is the only certification that proves your practical skills, foundational knowledge, and experience in both security and privacy on an international level.

"It’s more important than ever that healthcare and medical organizations have the tools and skills they need to protect their patient healthcare records," said Jackie Visnius, Director of Product Management, Learning Tree International. “We’re very excited to offer this popular security credential to those clients to round out our complete offering of (ISC)² Official Training courses."

"Hospitals, clinics and other healthcare organizations are trusted with protecting extremely private information for their patients and clients," said Brian Correia, Managing Director for North America, (ISC)². "The healthcare industry is consistently among the top targets for malicious actors so it’s important to have professionals in your team that are aware of the unique challenges and regulations that make up this delicate business.

"The HCISPP is a unique certification that combines security skills with privacy best practices and techniques. The importance of the foundational knowledge in healthcare security and privacy that the HCISPP validates cannot be overstated."

As part of Learning Tree’s ongoing partnership with (ISC)² to improve information security efforts for organizations around the world, Richard A. Spires, Learning Tree CEO, will be speaking at (ISC)²’s Secure Summit DC on May 8. He will be discussing Cyber Security Enterprise Risk Management — The Key to an Organization's Resilience.
