LEARNING TREE MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE INTRODUCES NEW COURSE FOCUSED ON MICROSOFT PROJECT PROFESSIONAL
RESTON, VA (May 25, 2006) Learning Tree International (NASDAQ NM: LTRE) today announced the addition of a new course to the Learning Tree Management Institute Project Management curriculum. Microsoft Project: Managing Multiple and Complex Projects is a 2-day hands-on course in which participants are led by an expert instructor through exercises designed to provide attendees with practical experience using Microsoft Project Professional to manage multiple projects.
Participants also receive instruction in how to:
- Leverage Microsoft Project Professional tools and techniques in a multiproject environment
- Reorganize large or complex projects into master and subprojects
- Optimize resource assignments across projects and resolve over allocations
- Track schedule, completeness and budget on complex projects and for distributed teams
- Integrate third-party applications to facilitate data sharing and accessibility
Microsoft Project: Managing Multiple and Complex Projects is valuable for project managers who are required to manage multiple projects, and particularly for those project managers and organizations who are using the standalone version of Microsoft Project, planning to continue using Microsoft Project Professional and do not anticipate upgrading to Project Server, generally work in groups of 10 managers or fewer on complex or multiple projects, or work with a minimal number of geographically distributed teams.
Microsoft Project: Managing Multiple and Complex Projects augments existing Learning Tree Management Institute Project Management courses, including Advanced Project Management: Hands-On, Project Risk Management: Hands-On, Project Quality Management, Project Leadership: Building High-Performance Teams, Leading Virtual and Remote Teams and Microsoft SharePoint Technologies: A Comprehensive Introduction.
The Learning Tree Management Institute intends to begin presenting Microsoft Project: Managing Multiple and Complex Projects in North America in June 2006 and at its London Education Center in July 2006.
The initial course schedule includes:
