Why should I take this course?Organizations rely on Adobe Acrobat for efficient document distribution and collaboration. However, many organizations may not take full advantage of the powerful features in Acrobat. Acrobat enables you to create polished PDF files with multimedia functionality and apply passwords and digital signatures to secure your work. You can also streamline document review through effective collaboration and easily create electronic forms. This course provides you with the skills to leverage the full functionality of Acrobat.How will Adobe Acrobat improve collaboration?With Adobe Acrobat, you can easily organize feedback from your team members into a single file, streamlining the review and approval process. Using shared reviews, team members can publish their comments in a common workspace and view and reply to the comments of other reviewers.Will I learn how to add multimedia functionality to PDF documents?Yes. In this course, you learn how to produce multimedia presentations and incorporate videos and Flash animations into your PDF files. Does this course cover PDF Portfolios?Yes. In this course, you learn how to create PDF Portfolios, a feature added in version 9. PDF portfolios allow different types of documents to be combined into a single archive, while maintaining the original document formats. PDF portfolios can contain virtually any file type including Microsoft Office documents, e-mails, images, drawings and multimedia files.I am using a previous version of Adobe Acrobat. Will this course be valuable for me?Yes. This course uses Adobe Acrobat X Pro. While the layout of the Acrobat interface has changed in Acrobat X, most of the features are supported in Acrobat 9. Even if you use an older version of Acrobat (7 or 8), you will still be able to apply most of the topics covered as well as evaluate the new features in the latest version.Which editions of Adobe Acrobat does this course cover?This course is applicable to anyone using Acrobat Standard, Pro, or pro Extended. During the hands-on exercises the attendees will be using Acrobat Pro. Most functionality explored in the course is available in Acrobat Standard, however a few features of Pro are explored and some features of Pro Extended are mentioned. During the course lecture any feature or function that requires Acrobat Pro or Pro Extended is indicated as so. Will I be working on a Mac or a PC?Adobe Acrobat X is very similar on the Mac and the PC.
Acrobat on both platforms provide the same capabilities and tools and
options are all the same. Aside
from LiveCycle Designer, a visual forms design and scripting
application unique to the Windows version, everything you
learn applies to both operating system platforms. The Learning
Tree classroom uses PCs using the latest Acrobat version.Will I learn how to create electronic forms in this course?Absolutely. In this course, you gain the skills to easily create Acrobat forms and distribute them electronically. You also learn how to make forms interactive with calculations and validation.Will I learn how to secure my PDF documents?Yes. This course provides the skills to control access to your PDF files and prevent unauthorized modifications. You even learn how to limit what others can do with your document, such as viewing, editing, or printing.
